Scharschmidt lab goes "3 for 3"

We celebrated a spring-summer-fall trio of successful quals exams by Kevin, Tori and Rio. Each were steady under fire through the process and even more ready now to dive into their projects.

Antonin's paper is published in Immunity

We turned an outstanding microbiologist into a stellar immunologist. Check out Antonin's paper published in June issue of Immunity which identifies a unique role for skin CD301b+ DC2 in generating commensal-specific Tregs!

Jeanmarie's paper is out and graduation cap on!

Antonin receives Dean's mentoring award

Very proud of our second Scharschmidt lab Dean's Mentoring Award Honoree. It was great to be able to have the ceremony in person, Nothing Bundt Cakes and all!  Congrats Antonin!

Fall Retreats

September was filled with fun events OUTSIDE the lab including the ImmunoX-UCB retreat at Asilomar, a lab offsite at Fitz Place, happy hours etc! Such a great way for our recently expanded group to get to know each other and grow as a team.

Geil's Cell Reports Paper is published and "in the news"
